WHAT IS GRACE? HOW DOES IT WORK FOR ME?

what-is-grace

Good question and Grace is absolutely wonderful, without it we have nothing we can do, for it is the free unmerited gift of the Lord towards us, that enables us to have faith. Grace is unconditional love toward a person who doesn't deserve it.

Grace is most understood in the midst of man's sin, suffering, sickness and brokenness. We live in a world of learning, deserving and earning merits, these all end up in judgments. Judgment kills, while Grace makes us alive and have hope! It is embedded in Jesus. So as it has been put, grace is the opposite of karma, which is all about getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you don't deserve.

Christianity teaches us that we deserve death with no hope of resurrection. Everyone needs it, but grace is not about us. It is a word about God. He grants grace to us when He chooses to, anywhere, anytime He chooses.

We live everyday by His grace, we receive forgiveness of sins by His grace, it drives our sanctification. Grace is given to us to accept Jesus as our Savior, begin a new life and we must grow in grace, as 1 Peter 2:18. Peter states "grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ". Furthermore, Paul states in 1 Corinthians 1:10 "by the grace of God I am what I am". Grace is the means of all Christianity. Romans 5:17 "the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ"!

Our holiness: God called us to a holy calling... Because of His own purpose and grace, 2 Timothy 2:9. Strength: "be strengthened by the grace that is in Jesus Christ, 2 Timothy 2:1. You cannot earn grace, it is God's gift to us, it is His great and unmatched love and His desire to do so, just receive be thankful and don't forget where your blessings come from...
